Phoenix Rising workshop: Transitioning into intermediate postures. Saturday 25th May, 1.30pm - 3.30pm. BALHAM.

I love how this workshop has helped so many yogi’s develop their practice. Many of you have been to more than one of these workshops and it’s so beautiful to watch your confidence in your practice grow.

This workshop was born out of my desire to spread the feeling of empowerment our bodies experience when we come to master intermediate postures. A safe space will be created for you to develop your practice, challenge yourself and play.

When I started yoga there were so many poses I thought I could only dream of being able to achieve one day. As my practice started to progress, there would be stages in a class where I would look around the room - gawp at the incredible shapes bodies were making around me, not having any idea how to get into them. Often in classes, advanced postures are not broken down meaning we become embarrassed or frightened to try.

Sum Yoga in Greece: Summer Retreat. 8th - 15th June, 2024 **FULLY BOOKED**

Following the success of this years Sum Yoga: Summer in Greece retreat, I will be returning to Epidavros for another week of magic next year!

Sum Yoga: Summer In Greece Retreat, June 8th - 15th 2024

Epidavros is an ancient port in Greece holds a super special place in my heart. It is here I studied the foundation of my Yoga teacher training. It was the beginning of a very special journey for me and it opened my eyes up to a whole new world - I can honestly say I left the place a very different person; a kinder person, a more compassionate version of myself. The yoga journey is a never ending one but I am so very grateful this is where it truly started for me -and I am so humbled that I get the opportunity to share this place with you!

The 2023 July retreat at Epidavros was absolutely incredible. Sun, sea, Yoga, friendship, good food, diving a little deeper into ourselves and leaving the retreat with our cups full and our hearts happy.

Sleeping swans: Resolve to remain still. Yin Yoga + Yoga Nidra: 7th September 2024

Take time out to pause - just for yourself.

A guided Yin practice working deep into the body. Passive poses are held for a period of time. Yin yoga works into the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is contrast to a Yang yoga practice such as Vinyasa yoga which targets the muscles.

Within the poses, we find stillness, and in the stillness, we find our peace.

The practice will close with Yoga nidra + singing bowl.

Suitable for all levels.

BALHAM: Power & Peace Playshop: Yin & Yang - FULLY BOOKED - WAITING LIST

Can’t decide whether you want to play and explore? Flow and feel? Or ground and release? Join us for this exciting event where you’ll get to enjoy all 3.

Part yang flow, part yin calming and part play curiosity, this playshop is for anyone keen to immerse themselves in a lovely long practice, where you’ll work hard then float home.

The inspirational Jacqui will guide you through a 75 minute high-intensity dynamic flow. Within the sequence, four of the most often requested poses will be broken down step by step, including potentially: Crow and jumping back, Bird of Paradise, Headstand and Straddle Headstand through straddle.

Working with opposing forces, we will then enter deep relaxation and release through the practice of Yin Yoga. Poses will be held for longer periods of time to calm the nervous system and encourage full body surrender, closing the practice feeling balanced, centered and restored.

Please note you do not need to have already mastered any of the

mentioned asanas as the purpose of this playshop is to be able to have time to dive deeper into the mechanics of these, building your confidence and having fun. This playshop will meet you wherever you are in your practice and offer some tools to help you elevate it before helping you find deep rest. True Balance & Equanimity.

All levels are welcome, including beginners, but just note this will be a strong practice – be prepared to work hard in the Yang part.

We’d love you to join us!

Hello Yogi's!

Sum Yoga: Summer In Greece Retreat, July 16th - 22nd 2023

Epidavros is an ancient port in Greece holds a super special place in my heart. It is here I studied the foundation of my Yoga teacher training. Phoenix Rising workshop: Transitioning into intermediate postures. Sunday 2nd July 2023 2023.

Yoga x Verte Clothes Swap - 21st May 2023 at Oru Space

Sunday afternoon yoga & clothes swapping! Bring a friend, grab your unworn clothes and come to Dulwich! Yoga theme - Flow to restore.

In a new collaboration with SumYoga and Verte, we are bringing you an afternoon event which combines yoga and clothes swapping!

The yoga class will be run by Jacqui from SumYoga and the clothes swapping will be run by Jess from Verte. Bio's below!

Tickets are available for both classes and also just the swap if you'd like to only come to that.

Flow to restore yoga: leave feeling energised and relaxed.

Timings:

14.00 - Yoga class 1 begins & clothes drop off

14.45 - Yoga class 1 ends & swap begins

15.00 - Yoga class 2 begins, followed by swapping

16.00 - Swap ends

Swapping will take place alongside the yoga, so feel free to swap before or after your class.

We suggest if you're in the first yoga class at 2pm, you swap afterwards and if in the 3pm class, you swap before. Stock will be added throughout the afternoon so don't worry about missing out

A bit about SumYoga:

Jacqui has been practising yoga for 17 years and is always looking for more ways to learn, to evolve and deepen her practice. She has been teaching since 2018 and strongly believes that the attitude and temperament you pursue in your practice builds a bridge to what you focus on away from the mat. It is the movement of an inner energy that allows you to take what you’ve cultivated in your practice out into the world.

Jacqui feels strongly about creating diversity in Yoga – her approach aims to empower anyone to practise regardless of their shape, size, ethnicity, level or experience of practice. She is dedicated in supporting you in your journey while also encouraging connection with those who practice alongside.

A bit about Verte:

Verte started in 2019 with the ultimate purpose to slow the impact of fashion on the planet by extending the lifespan of clothes. Having run events all over London for men, women and children, our mission is to help people keep their wardrobes fun and updated, without buying new. With charity shops overloaded and the quality more varied, and online second hand platforms not enabling physical shopping, Verte's vision is to help people get new items without driving new consumption. The most sustainable item you own is the one already hanging in your wardrobe!

Sleeping swans: Resolve to remain still. Yin Yoga + Yoga Nidra: March 5th 2023 (2 Spaces available))
